Casey Herbert

Senior Executive Producer

Casey has been working across Moonriver’s film and television projects since 2017, first as Head of Development, and now as Executive Producer. She most recently produced CONSECRATION for Moonriver. As well as working closely with Xavier to drive forward and produce individual shows and films, Casey has a creative overview of the whole slate. Prior to joining the company she was at Lookout Point, initially as Development Executive and later as Head of Film. Alongside her executive roles, Casey has also produced independently, including THE LAST RIGHT (2019) written and directed by Aoife Crehan, and CONTAINMENT (2015), directed by Neil Mcenery West. She is a graduate of the MA course in Producing at the National Film and Television School, and her graduation film, VOLUME, directed by Mahalia Belo, won the British Independent Film Award for Best Short. Casey supports various film and TV training and mentoring schemes, and has been an assessor for iFeatures, BFI Shorts and the screenwriting and producing courses at the NFTS.

Daisy Gilbert

Executive Producer

Daisy has worked at Moonriver since 2016, first as Xavier’s assistant, then as Head of Development and now in her current role as Executive Producer.  As well as overseeing the company’s development slate, she was an Executive Producer on NAUTILUS and DUSTFALL.  Daisy graduated from Warwick University with a degree in English Literature.  She began her career working in theatre as a theatrical production and development assistant, and producer, including a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe with a piece of new writing.  She first worked with Xavier whilst interning at eOne, and before joining Moonriver, other jobs included working with BIFA nominated director Oliver Nias, and for the 2016 BFI London Film Festival. In 2018 and 2019 Daisy was an assessor for iFeatures.

Hayley Cameron

Head of Development

Hayley joined Moonriver as Head of Development in 2026. She has over ten years of experience in scripted drama, cutting her teeth as a Story Assistant and Script Researcher on the BBC medical drama Holby City after graduating from University College London with a degree in French and Italian. After her first job in development at Hillbilly Films and Television, she went on to work as a Script Editor at Tall Story Pictures, where she worked on the first series of the ITV crime drama The Bay. After script editing the second series of Howard Overman’s War of the Worlds, she became Head of Development at Urban Myth Films in 2021, working across productions such as The Lazarus Project and Paris Has Fallen. Over the last five years, she has developed projects with a range of writers including the likes of Roanne Bardsley, Vinay Patel, Ava Pickett and Nick Leather.

Xavier Marchand

Managing Director / CEO and Founder

Xavier Marchand is one of the UK’s leading producers and senior executives with over 30 years of industry experience. Just prior to setting up Moonriver, Xavier was President of Production at eOne Features. He joined eOne when it acquired the Alliance Films Group that Xavier jointly ran, which included Momentum Pictures, the leading UK distributor whose growth he engineered over ten years. He has also held senior executive positions at Polygram Filmed Entertainment, Warner Bros and Universal. Some of his recent credits as Producer and/or Executive Producer include: WILD ROSE (2019); STAN & OLLIE (2018), EYE IN THE SKY (2015); SPOTLIGHT (2015); SUITE FRANÇAISE (2014); THE WOMAN IN BLACK (2012); MRS HARRIS GOES TO PARIS (2022). Xavier is an Executive Producer on NAUTILUS, an epic action-adventure TV series for Disney+, based on Jules Verne’s beguiling anti-hero, Captain Nemo, from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. He is a non-writing EP on the series A GENTLEMAN IN MOSCOW, an adaptation of Amor Towles’ best-selling novel, for Paramount+ and Showtime.

Gavin Rose

Consultant Finance Director

Gavin has over 20 years of film and TV experience, having started his career at ITV, where he qualified as a CIMA accountant.  He then moved to Momentum Pictures, a leading UK indie film distributor.  He eventually moved into an Alliance Films group role working on various projects, including an international process and systems implementation.  He then played a vital role in the sale of Alliance Films to Entertainment One, eventually moving across to manage critical parts of the merger of the two companies.  He subsequently served as the UK Finance and Commercial Director for Thunderbird Entertainment’s UK distribution and production division.  Gavin supports CIMA’s and the Social Mobility Foundation mentoring programmes and was a trustee at Rich Mix, a London-based arts venue.
